Small team, real conversations
You’ll talk to the people building your system, not a layer of account management. Faster decisions, fewer telephone games.
About us
JNOT Technologies is a Kampala-based software company building enterprise software for lenders across East Africa — loan management, credit-bureau integration, and the systems that have to keep agreeing with each other when the regulator comes calling.
Founded 2025
JNOT Technologies was founded in 2025 by a team that had spent the previous years inside the credit reference bureau ecosystem — watching the same operational problems repeat themselves at every lender they touched.
Most off-the-shelf loan management systems were designed for markets that don't look much like ours: different regulators, different rails, different definitions of what a "branch" or a "product" is. The result is software bent into shapes its builders never anticipated, and operations teams keeping the truth in side spreadsheets.
We started JNOT to close that gap — purpose-built systems for purpose-built operations, by people who have answered the supervisor's phone call before.
Kampala, Uganda
We're based in Kampala and serve lenders across East Africa. Most of our clients are within a phone call of our office, on the same regulatory clock, and a short flight away when an onsite week is what an engagement needs.
Being close to the operations we build for is a feature, not a consequence. The software is better for it.
Four areas where we've already done the work — and where we lean when we take on something new.
Years inside the CRB world — submissions, dispute handling, the cycles that everyone above the supervisor cares about and everyone below pretends they understand.
Deep familiarity with how loan portfolios actually behave once they leave the spreadsheet — the edge cases, the reconciliation gaps, the things no demo will surface.
Practical experience with BoU expectations, returns, and audit walk-throughs — what gets accepted, what gets queried, and what triggers a follow-up letter.
Software built for the day a branch loses connectivity at month-end — not the day someone walks an investor through a happy-path demo.
Three things we hold to across every engagement.
You’ll talk to the people building your system, not a layer of account management. Faster decisions, fewer telephone games.
We adapt to how your team actually works — not the other way round. If a workflow needs a new screen, we add one, not a 60-page change request.
Your data is yours. Your integrations are documented. If our engagement ends, you can walk out with a working system, not a hostage situation.
Tell us about your lending operation and what's getting in its way. We'll come back with whether we're the right team and what we'd do first.
